In advance of International Energy Saving Day--March 5th, 2013--the CEO of BSH has reminded buyers how much energy can be saved by buying energy efficient appliances.

Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet, CEO of German-based BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH has said that a European household fully equipped with super-efficient appliances can expect to save about 300 euros in electricity costs annually. He pointed out that, "Modern BSH home appliances nowadays consume up to 73% less electricity than comparable appliances 15 years ago."

Whirlpool said this week that has launched a new online tool to help consumers better understand the government's new "Cash For Appliances" rebate program. The tool will be available on the sites of three of its brands- Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid.
