It's too early for concrete sales numbers, but already we're getting an indication of which tablets were more popular amongst holiday shoppers. Unsurprisingly, the Apple iPad and Kindle Fire dominated, while the Microsoft Surface didn't.
The latest estimates come from R.W. Baird's William Power, who does weekly checks of mobile device sales. Power spoke with Best Buy and Staples representatives about which tablets they're recommending and which ones are selling.

Microsoft announced Tuesday that the Windows RT version of its Surface tablet is now available at additional retailers, with both Best Buy and Staples announcing separately that they will sell it. The product had previously only been sold at Microsoft's own retail stores.

Amazon's Kindle lineup may have been pulled from Target and Walmart this year, but Amazon has a new retail partner for the Kindle Fire. GameStop is now carrying the popular tablet, the companies announced last week.
