Elektrobit Unveils Latest Automotive Software Solutions

Elektrobit (EB) used the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to showcase its next generation automotive software solutions ranging from navigation systems to Human Machine Interface (HMI).

EB may not be a company you have heard of, but they are a developer of cutting-edge embedded technology solutions for the automotive and wireless industries.

The company says the auto and consumer electronics industries face three important challenges: the quick and cost effective development of in-vehicle infotainment solutions, better and safer integration of consumer mobile devices into the car, and engineering in-car systems

Livio has spent the last year opening up to app developers with Livio Connect, but now, CEO Jake Sigal sees an opportunity in traditional radio he's calling FM Connect.

"We've gone airborne," says Sigal. FM Connect takes the traditional FM radio signal and creates a two-way link between the broadcaster and the Bluetooth connected smartphone.
