Nebraska's Ken's Appliance Celebrates 50th Anniversary

April 29, 2012

A home-grown, family-owned business that started in 1962 in Ken and Jalaine Leetch's garage on Kruse Street in Grand Island is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month.

Ken's Appliance, 2211 N. Webb Road in the Main Street Station, is now owned by their son, Gail Leetch. After 50 years, one thing that hasn't changed is Ken's Appliance's commitment to sales, service, parts, delivery and support.

"It is the only job I have ever had except for delivering newspapers," Gail Leetch said.
