U.S. video game retail sales were down 11% in November from the same month last year, according to new data from NPD Group. Overall sales were $2.55 billion, down from $2.87 billion. That includes sales of new merchandise from physical stores, and not used merchandise or digital sales.
Hardware sales were down 13%, software sales were down 11% and accessories were down 8%.
This was actually the smallest year-over-year decline in sales so far in 2012.
