The Lighting Industry’s First Plugfest

If you’ve been around consumer electronics long enough, you’ve probably heard of a plugfest. These events are essentially an orgy of cross-manufacturer interoperability testing. The basic premise is that everyone uses the same standard, but the implementation of that standard isn’t always perfect, so devices need to be tested.
