5 (Expensive) Things that Impressed Me at CEDIA
As you might expect, there were a lot of cool things to be seen last week at the CEDIA show in Dallas. The best of the best speakers, sound systems, TVs, business management platforms, you name it. Products and systems of all costs littered the show floor but as a general rule of thumb, impressive items generally come with an impressive price tag. As such, here’s a look at five items and technologies that stood out above the rest for me - and yes, they all have the price tag to prove it.
In my opinion, Devialet’s Gold Phantom was a home run in terms combining great audio quality and style. The outside of the speakers vibrate as the sound plays, making it an interesting home piece to watch and to listen to. A true audiophile speaker, its amplifier power comes in at 4500 W peak and its acoustic pressure comes in at 108 dB SPL at 1 meter. It also comes with a true audiophile price tag of $2,990.
