A Walmart in Florida had $200,000 in cash stolen from a safe by a thief who masqueraded first as a customer and later as an employee, complete with name tag. According to WFTV, the theft took place in July. The man first pretended to be a customer, and later dressed an an employee, walked into a back office, and opened and emptied out the safe. He then walked out without incident, even flashing his fake badge at a security guard as he left. The man hasn't been caught, but security footage was posted to the Web site in the hope of making an arrest.
Arrest Made in Walmart Shooting
A man was arrested this week and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot a man in the parking lot of a Wisconsin Walmart. According to the AP, the 26-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree homicide.
Governor: No Flat Screen TVs For Sex Offenders
The governor of Minnesota has ordered the removal of two dozen 50-inch flat screen TVs recently delivered to a state-run treatment facility for convicted sex offenders. According to the Star Tribune newspaper, Gov. Tim Pawlenty, reacting to a report in the paper, called the delivery of the items "boneheaded." Pawlenty also ordered that the TVs, which cost $2,282 each, be sold by the facility.
St. Louis Cops Accused of Stealing Electronics
Two police officers in St. Louis were indicted last week and charged with stealing electronics they seized from criminals in the line of the duty. According to the St. Louis American, the two were charged with theft of government property, after they took ostensibly stolen electronics from a suspect who turned out to be a federal informant. Prosecutors say that kept some of the items and sold others. One of the officers was fired by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, while the other took retirement.
Airport Screener Thief Pleads Guilty
A former TSA officer at Philadelphia International Airport has admitted in court that he stole items, including laptop computers and gaming systems, from the luggage of travelers, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The employee, who was caught when another employee saw him remove a laptop from a passenger's bag, plead guilty to theft by a government employee and will be sentenced in January.


Crime is not a Head Problem, its a Heart Problem. As bad as these things are and as much damage as they have done to so many victims, That said at least I know a lot of people are just glad there is no one praying in school.
