Truck With BlackBerry Playbooks Stolen
They say no one wants a BlackBerry Playbook, but a group of thieves in Indiana earlier this month put that theory to the test. According to WIBC, a truck and trailer containing more than 5,000 of the Research in Motion tablet devices was stolen from a truck stop in Indiana, while the driver went inside for food. The stolen cargo is worth between $1.7 million and $5 million.
141 Arrested For NYC iPhone Thefts
More than 140 people were arrested this month in New York for stealing iPhone and iPad devices, Bloomberg News reported. Some were arrested for stealing, while others for receiving stolen property or for purchasing from undercover police.
South Carolina Walmart Stayed Open After Fatal Stabbing
A man allegedly stabbed his wife to death inside a South Carolina Walmart, at which point the store roped off the crime scene but remained open. According to the Daily Mail, the alleged assailant fled but was later apprehended after a traffic accident.
