Amazon Plans Retail Listings

In a new twist in the long-running Amazon vs. showrooming battle, the online retailer is reportedly planning to add product listings for several major retailers to the Amazon site, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Under the plan, Amazon would list the products and include links to the retailers’ own websites, bringing traffic to their sites but giving Amazon customer data.

According to the Journal, the talks involve ten “well-known” retailers, although none named in the report are electronics companies.
