Amazon Seen Bringing Checkout System to Retail Stores

Amazon is often seen as a competitor to traditional brick-and-mortar retail outlets. Now, they may become a partner or even an asset.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Amazon is developing a checkout system for retailers, which possibly will be based around Kindle tablets. The system may be available as soon as this summer.
