American TV and Appliance to Close All Stores

Another longtime electronics retailer is closing up shop. Wisconsin-based chain American TV and Alliance is closing all of its stores after 60 years, the Wisconsin State Journal and other media outlets reported Monday.

“While this is a sad moment, it is also a proud moment,” the company’s president and CEO, Doug Reuhl, said in a statement to media outlets. “It’s a moment to be proud of our efforts and to be proud of what we have delivered to the community.”

American had 11 stores, all in Wisconsin except for two each in Illinois and Iowa.
