Another Sony Overhaul: PC Business Dropped, TV Restructured, 5,000 Jobs Cut

Sony announced some big changes Thursday, confirming that it has sold off its Vaio PC business to Japan Industrial Partners Inc.

In addition, the company will revamp its TV business in order to focus on high-end models and also spin it off as a wholly-owned subsidiary.

The company also said that 5,000 jobs will be cut as part of the changes.
