Apple Plans Retail Expansion

Apple plans to open 40 to 50 new retail locations worldwide next year, the company announced Monday on its earnings conference call.

The retail stores brought in $3.57 billion in revenue in the most recent quarter, a 75 percent jump from the same time the year before.

The company opened 24 retail stores in the most recent quarter, 16 overseas, according to AppleInsider.com.
