Apple has confirmed that the opening keynote of its upcoming World Wide Developers Conference will take place June 2 at 10 a.m. Pacific time. In addition, “new hardware” will be a part of the presentation, according to sources cited by 9to5mac.

The event, at San Francisco’s Moscone Center, will take place June 2-6.

The hardware could be anything from new Macbook Airs to the long-rumored iWatch, to Apple’s mythical TV product, to a new version of the iPhone, iPod or Apple TV. On the software side, new versions of OS X and iOS are expected to make appearances too.
