Apple Wearable Reportedly Planned For October
Apple's long-rumored iWatch did not make its debut at the recent World Wide Developers Conference. But a credible report late last week suggests we will be seeing the product by the end of the year.
Recode reported Friday afternoon that Apple is eying October for the release of its first wearable device, which is expected to be announced at a standalone event. The report, citing "people familiar with Apple’s plans," stated that October is the target date, but did not mention the word "iWatch," aside from a metadata tag at the end.
The wearable product is expected to work with Apple's newly announced HealthKit.
