Apple’s iPhone Order Seen as Largest Ever
Apple has made its largest order to date of iPhones, asking suppliers for as much as 80 million units, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday night, citing “people familiar with the matter.”
The new iPhones, will come in two sizes- 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch- both larger than the current iPhone 5S. The order of between 70 and 80 million units is worldwide, and for delivery through the end of the year.
Apple will announce its quarterly earnings Tuesday afternoon.
