The company's president announced Wednesday, at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, that the Wii has shipped its 50 millionth unit, the fastest console ever to reach that milestone. According to Reuters, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata touted the milestone from the same stage where he first talked about the Wii project in 2005.
Meanwhile, according to Dow Jones Newswires, the company will roll out the DSi throughout the U.S. and Europe over the next month, coming to the U.S. in April at a $169 MSRP; it was released in Japan last November.
