CEDIA Names Electronic Lifestyles Winners, Fellows

At CEDIA Expo in Atlanta, the group announced 50 winners of the 2009 Electronic Lifestyles Awards, as well as ten 2009 CEDIA Fellows.

The Lifestyles Awards were handed out in four categories: the Industry Awards, Designer Awards, Manufacturer's Excellence Awards and Product Hall of Fame inductees.

In the industry awards, Sound Beach, N.Y.'s S.E.A.L. Solutions was named Electronics Systems Contractor of the Year, while Jason Spence of Ohio's Audio Video Interiors was the choice for 2009 Electronics Systems Technician of the Year. Michael Creeden of M+R Digital Innovations, Inc. was named Residential Electronic Systems Contractor Volunteer of the year, Michael Masten of ADI Associate Volunteer of the Year, while the Momentum Group's David Thomas is the 2009 Sales Representative of the Year.

The 2009 Product Hall of Fame inductees were SpeakerCraft's AIM, Lutron's RadioRA Whole-Home Lighting Control System, and Middle Atlantic Products' AX-S Equipment Access System.

Meanwhile, the first ten members of the CEDIA Fellows Program, described as "longtime CEDIA volunteers and members who have contributed to the association’s success," are:  Eric Bodley of Bodley & Associates, Tom Doherty of Doherty Design Group, Michael Heiss of M. Heiss Consulting, Mitchell Klein of Universal Remote Control, Jeff Kussard of Capitol Sales Company, Ray Lepper of Home Media Stores, Marilyn Sanford of La Scala;, Chris Stevens of Phoenix Systems, Richard Stoerger of Audio Design Associates, Inc. and Frank White of StayTuned.
