Beats Electronics made a pair of new product announcements this week, including new Bluetooth portable speakers and headphones.

The Beats Pill is a portable wireless Bluetooth speaker that offers Beats Audio technology. It boasts a four-speaker system and eight Bluetooth profiles, and comes in three colors. It retails now for $199.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive headphones sport a soft leather headband and comfortable ear cups. Featuring Active Noise Cancellation, the headphones retail for $299.

"The introduction of the Beats Pill and the Executive is the perfect beginning to a truly autonomous Beats as we transform into a freestanding consumer electronics company this year, "  Beats By Dr. Dre President & COO Luke Wood said as part of the announcement. "These products demonstrate our total commitment to design, technological innovation and premium sound experience."

Also Tuesday, Nine Inch Nails frontman and Oscar-winning film composer Trent Reznor revealed on his Facebook page that he is working with Beats.

"For the past year I have indeed been involved with Dre, Jimmy Iovine, Luke Wood, and the rest of the team on a number of very interesting projects that will start to emerge next year," Reznor wrote. He did not reveal exactly what he is working on with Beats, except to state that "it's probably not what you're expecting."
