Best Buy Earnings Release Delayed

Amid media reports that founder Richard Schulze’s bid to take over Best Buy is on life support, the company has delayed its earnings release, set for later this week, by a day.

According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, the company will announce earnings at 7 a.m. on Friday, instead of Thursday as planned. Schulze’s deadline to submit a bid for the company is Feb. 28, which is Thursday.

Best Buy “didn’t want to announce our earnings that morning and not give him the full day,” a company spokesman told the Journal.
