Best Buy Loses Trade Secrets Case

Best Buy this week came out on the losing end of a lawsuit over the use of its trade secrets in relation to an electronics buyback program.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune
, a jury found in favor of TechForward, which sued Best Buy last year, alleging that the tech giant misappropriated trade secrets related to its Guaranteed Buyback Program.

TechForward was awarded $22 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
