Best Buy, Other Retailers, Sued Over Docks

Several major CE retailers, including Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg and OfficeMax, have been sued by manufacturer Dok Solution LLC for patent infringement.

According to Law360.com, Dok Solution has sued Best Buy, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Newegg, OfficeMax, Sonic Electronix, FKA Distributing and Amazon, alleging that the retailers have infringed on  five patents, which cover docks for music players and other electronic devices.

The patents in question are for “System, method and apparatus for supporting and providing power to a music player,"  “Digital music player cradle attachment," “System, method and apparatus for holding multiple devices," "Adaptable digital music player cradle” and “System and, method for holding and powering three consumer electronic devices."
