Best Buy Outfits Minnesota Stadium With TVs
Best Buy announced Sunday that its Insignia in-house brand has become the official high-definition television partner of the company’s hometown team, the Minnesota Twins. As part of the deal, Best Buy will outfit the team’s new Minneapolis ballpark, Target Field, with more than 450 Insignia HDTVs.
The TVs are part of the new Insignia Commercial Series product line. Best Buy has also purchased prominent signage in the stadium.
“It is a privilege working with such a world-class sports organization that shares our goal of enhancing the customer experience,” Fernando Silva, vice president of Best Buy Exclusive Brands, said as part of the announcement.
“The Insignia brand was founded on the principal of building products that meet the needs of consumers based on the feedback we receive from our customers and employees every day, so it was a natural fit for us to partner closely with the Twins’ organization to develop the state-of-the-art IPTV solution.”
