Best Buy Wednesday morning mistakenly labeled a 52-inch Samsung HDTV, which has an MSRP of $1,700, at $9.99 on its Web site, along with a $70 shipping charge.
Speaking to ABC News, a Best Buy spokesperson called the mistake "an online pricing error," apologized, and said the incorrect price would not be honored for those who made the purchase. Bloggers had noticed the error early Wednesday, leading to hundreds of attempted orders.
Best Buy's terms of service give the company the right to "revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors."
