Bosch’s Newest Includes Benchmark Premium Appliance Line
Bosch showcased its 100-plus new kitchen products slated to ship this spring, at its BSH Experience and Design Center in New York City this week.
Products include cosmetically matching, European-styled designs across good-better-best series of dishwashers, compact laundry units, side-opening wall ovens, refrigerators and slide-in ranges, but around 40 intros were in the new premium, highly appointed Benchmark series.
“Benchmark is being marketed as a luxury brand with limited distribution through dealers who can meet our display requirements,” Micaela Shaw, brand manager, said.
Multiple new features are carried on the Benchmark line, but are also available on select models in the company’s other lines.
Side-opening wall ovens feature AutoProbe, which senses appropriate cooking temperatures for foods. Steam convection ovens carry a No Odor Transfer feature that lets different foods cook in the same space at the same time. Induction cooktops with FlexInduction allow combination of several cooking zones into a larger zone for longer pans or griddle cooking. Custom-panel-ready refrigerators boast interior theater lighting and metal and glass inlay design elements.
Bosch has also introduced one of the few induction slide-in ranges on the market
