Brightpoint Names Ridge Director

Brightpoint Inc. announced Tuesday that it has named Tom Ridge, the former Pennsylvania governor and the nation's first Secretary of Homeland Security, to its board of directors.
"Tom Ridge brings a significant amount of additional depth and experience to the Board and I am delighted that he is joining us," Brightpoint's chairman and CEO, Robert J. Laikin, said in a statement. "His expertise in risk management and global trade security are particularly valuable to Brightpoint and our vendors and customers."
Ridge was named a Class III director.
