CEA: More Consumers Want Tablets

The Consumer Electronics Association’s quarterly Consumer Outlook on Tablets found that the amount of consumers looking to purchase a tablet has increased.

Fifteen percent of consumers say they will purchase a tablet in the next six months, compared to ten percent in January.

“The launch of new tablets has consumers assessing their computing needs to ensure they have the latest and greatest across the spectrum of devices,” Rhonda Daniels, CEA’s manager of market research, said as part of the announcement. “We’ll find out in future Consumer Outlook on Tablets reports if consumers followed through on their plans to purchase tablets in the next six months.”
