CEA: The Key to Ultra HD is Seeing It

A pair of surveys from the Consumer Electronics Association found that while 34 percent of customers who have not seen Ultra HD first-hand in a store have any interest in purchasing such products, that numbers jumps to 73 percent once they do view it.

That’s according to the Consumer Perspective on Ultra HDTV and Consumer Perceptions of Ultra HDTV Technology at Retail studies.

“Ultra HDTV consumer adoption will be a case of ‘seeing is believing,'” Rhonda Daniel, senior manager, market research, CEA, said in a statement.

“The technology offers an incredibly immersive viewing experience with superior picture quality. Experiencing the technology in person is a critical component to drive consumer interest in adopting Ultra HD as their next television.”
