CES Asia to Debut in 2015July 17, 2014 By Stephen Silver
The Consumer Electronics Association announced Thursday that it will debut a new trade show in Shanghai, China, next year called CES Asia.
The inaugural event will take place May 25-27 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC.) CEA will cohost along with Chinese trade show producer Intex Shanghai Co., Ltd.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of CES Asia,” Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, said as part of the announcement. “China is a critical driver of the global tech industry with an incredible opportunity to accelerate its innovation output. At CES Asia, attendees will experience the innovation that defines the CE industry, with exclusive access to some of the top brands from China and around the world.”
CEA participated in SINOCES until 2012, and hosted a CES Unveiled in Shanghai in April.
