City Target Concept Coming to Chicago

Target will open a new store in Chicago's Loop that will also mark the one of the first of the company's new "City Target" concept, the Chicago Tribune's Chicago Breaking Business web site reported Tuesday.

The store, which will open next year, is located on State St., in the former flagship location of defunct department store Carson Pirie Scott.

The concept is on its way to other cities, including Los Angeles and Seattle. Those stores and the Chicago one are scheduled to open in 2012.
