Three-Quarters of Consumers Plan to Cut Back For Holidays

More than 75 percent of consumers are planning to cut back on spending this holiday season, according to a poll taken last week by Consumer Reports. Meanwhile, six percent of respondents say they are still carrying debt from last year's holiday season.

Despite all that, however, 88 percent of consumers expect their holidays to be "just as happy" as in previous years.
