D&H Distributing's Mid-Atlantic Fall 2009 show will focus on Windows 7, as well as other new products and strategies for dealing with the slumping economy, D&H said Wednesday.

The event will be held Oct. 6 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, in D&H's hometown of Hershey, Pa. The distributor is expecting 140 manufacturers and over 1,000 attendees at the event. The event is free for D&H customers.

Microsoft will host a presentation on how to make money from its new Windows 7 operating system, while Cisco, HP and the Institute for Partner Education will present as well. Exhibitors will include JVC, Kodak, Toshiba, Garmin, Canon, Nokia, TomTom and more.

“We’re proud to have been able to keep our schedule of trade events in-tact through a rough year, to help support our customers.  We’re here to show them that opportunities are still out there,” Mary Campbell, vice president of marketing at D&H, said as part of the announcement.

“Hard times tend to spawn more innovation and new technology start-ups.  Our trade events are a great opportunity for dealers, retailers and installers to see how they can differentiate themselves by leveraging these new technologies.”
