D&H Touts “Direct Ship” Model
D&H Distributing this week touted its “Direct Ship” fulfillment model in order to encourage customers to “utilize the distributor’s extensive inventory and warehousing capabilities.”
“Retailer and dealers need to be agile, versatile and strategic in their ability to offer a variety of product if they want to trump the online shopping experience,” Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales at D&H Distributing, said as part of the announcement.
“It’s a challenge for everyone, but not insurmountable if retailers think creatively and utilize partners to realize methods that are more out-of-the-box. The use of a distribution partner as a fulfillment center empowers retailers, extending their capabilities. It levels the playing field a bit against the online mega stores.”
