Dish’s Hopper With Sling is Now Available

It was introduced at International CES, won Best of Show, was the subject of a huge controversy between CBS, CNET and CEA, and now it’s available. Dish’s Hopper with Sling is now available at retail.

The Hopper with Sling Whole-Home HD DVR features built-in Sling capabilities and the Dish anywhere app, which allows customers to watch DVR’d content on mobile devices. It also skips commercials, which has led to rancor and litigation with content providers.

“The magic of Hopper with Sling is that it redefines how customers think about their pay-TV experience,” Joe Clayton, DISH president and CEO, said in a statement. “No other provider can offer the experience that is now available to our customers anytime, anywhere.”

The product will be promoted in a major advertising campaign with characters known as “The Boston Guys.”
