Distributors Form Catalyst Network

A group of 11 independent CE distributors has announced the formation of Catalyst AV, a new nationwide distribution network. The distributor will operate from 16 locations and serve more than 10,000 integration companies.

The group's board includes former EDGE Distributors Group president Mike Hench of Electronics Source, former DDG president Steve Presti of Easy Access Distribution and AVAD cofounder Wally Whinna of Allnet Distributing.

”Given changing market conditions and the growing intricacies of systems integration, we believe in-depth support in all these arenas is crucial for the continued sustenance and growth of the integrator’s business model,” Hench said in a statement.

Members include Allnet Distributing, Audio Video Warehouse, Custom Plus Distributing, Easy Access Distribution, Electronic Lane Distributors, Electronics Source, Electronic Stockroom, HCA Distributing, Pioneer Music Company, SPD and Tech Source Distributors.

The group will announce vendor partnerships at a later date.
