Haier America Names Micu CEO

Haier America announced this week that president and CEO Shariff Kan has stepped down and will be replaced by Adrian Micu, effective Feb. 10.

Micu comes to Haier from Whirlpool, where he was most recently vice president of engineering.

“I am honored for the opportunity to lead such a promising company into the next phase of their evolution,” Micu said in a statement. “I look forward to developing the Haier brand into a household name in appliances and electronics, advance the momentum that our team has created over the past few years and help the organization capitalize on Haier’s overall strengths to achieve its full potential in the Americas.”
