Honor, a smartphone brand under the Huawei Group umbrella, hosted one of the first manufacturer press conferences here in Vegas for CES 2017, and the company didn’t disappoint with its latest product. The Honor 6X is a “cost-conscious” yet powerful product aimed at giving millennial consumers a device packed with top-of-the-line features that won’t break the bank.
While it’s focus is solidly on the future, Honor’s device is the perfect capstone to what’s certainly been a banner year for the company. During its time in front of the gathered media, the company announced that the Honor 5X (announced last year during CES) was the top selling smartphone in a number of countries, including the U.S., on Amazon’s Prime Day over the summer. The Honor 8, which launched during the summer, also was a global hit, topping the Black Friday charts for smartphones in several European companies.
Honor followed all of that up by releasing a product that doubled down on all of the important features consumers look for in a smartphone.
