IMCE Announces Restructuring

Ingram Micro North America late last week announced a restructuring that has impacted its consumer electronics division. The move, part of a broader global restructuring, impacted ” less than 180 associates” in North America, although it’s unclear how many of those were in the CE division.

“We’re making these moves to enhance our ability to innovate and respond faster to needs of our partners and the dynamics of the market.” Tom Bamrick, Vice President and General Manager at IMCE, said as part of the announcement.

The company added that all impacted have received severance packages, while also receiving outplacement services and being given the opportunity to apply for other open positions.

“Ultimately, these efforts will enable us to work better, serve better and earn better for our partners, associates and stakeholders by removing unnecessary complexity, making us more nimble and bringing the organization’s decision makers closer to our partners. Ingram Micro’s CE business continues to grow and our focus remains on being an indispensable business partner to the CE channel,” Bamrick added.
