In Car Experts Goes Zero-Tolerance on Transshipping

In Car Experts, recently acquired by MERA, said Thursday that it has launched a zero-tolerance policy against “transshipping” by member retailers.

This is defined as “the practice of repurposing goods that are designated for sale to consumers from an authorized retailer in a specified territory, instead selling them to an unauthorized retailer, usually in a different territory.”

“There needs to be a high standard for In Car Experts members,” Chris Cook, who oversees In Car Experts operations, said as part of the announcement. “The retailers in the group are expected to adhere to vendor guidelines so that everyone receives the benefit they expect. This policy is part of our new membership platform to assure that all of our members are truly In Car Experts.”
