Nokia Still Leads Global Smartphone Rankings
February 8, 2010According to a writeup of the survey by Wired's GadgetLab blog, Nokia has 38.9 percent of the smartphone market, RIM has 19.8 percent, and Apple 19 percent. HTC and Samsung took the fourth and fifth spots. Nokia led with 40 percent last year.
In the fourth quarter specifically, Nokia, RIM and Apple kept the top three spots but Motorola, on the strength of the Droid and other popular phones, rose to #4.
