On the online side, BHPhotoVideo.com took the #1 spot, followed by Crutchfield.com, Amazon.com, Newegg.com and Costco.com. BestBuy.com scored 12th.
In terms of products, Sony Bravia models were named #1 for both the 52-inch and over and 46- and 47-inch categories of LCD TVs, with Samsung winning both the 40-42 inch and 37-inch and under categories. On the plasma side, LG, Samsung and Panasonic split the top rankings for different sizes.
For smartphones, Consumer Reports provided rankings by carrier, with Android phones sweeping all four: the Droid X, Samsung Vibrant, HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Captive named the top devices for Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint-Nextel and AT&T, respectively, with the carriers ranked in that order. The iPhone 4, which Consumer Reports continues to recommend against due to its antenna difficulties, was named the #2 AT&T smartphone.
