Kenwood Founder Aratani Dies

George Aratani, the cofounder and first president of Kenwood, died this week, according to an obituary published in the Los Angeles Times.

Aratanti, who was 95, was an entrepreneur and philanthropist and leader in the Japanese-American community.

Born in 1917, Aratani was a survivor of the internment camps of the 1940s. He cofounded Kenwood in 1986.
