KnowledgeFest Adds Vendors, Panel, Entertainment
MERA’s KnowledgeFest event will have 15 new vendors this year, continuing its growth over last year’s event, while other, established vendors have increased their participation. KnowledgeFest will be held August 18-21 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, Tex.
Sony, AudioControl and Memphis Car Audio are among the vendors increasing their commitments, while Accele Electronics, Crimestopper, elettromedia, Hybrid Audio, Kicker, Rosen and Wet Sounds are among the newest vendors.
In addition, KnowledgeFest will include a “Young Guns Power Panel” on August 19, featuring Jon Kowanetz of Handcrafted Car Audio, Jason Kranitz of Kingpin Car Audio, Derek Pace of Certified Sounds, John Schwartz of Perfectionist Auto Sound & Security and Micah Williams of Sonus Car Audio. MERA president Chris Cook will moderate.
“Despite a continually changing economic outlook, we are pleased to see growth from retailers who have attended KnowledgeFest and applied the ideas learned from the keynotes, education tracks and peer-based networking opportunities,” Cook said in a statement.
“This has prompted the attendee and exhibitor growth we’re seeing this year. Further, we are honored that new companies that want to service retailers in our industry recognize KnowledgeFest as a primary venue to help them accomplish their goals.”
Finally, MERA announced that Dave Whiteman and the Love Chocolates will perform at the KnowledgeFest Live! event August 20, which is sponsored by Sirius XM and Voxx International.
