LG Electronics Launches Latest 15-inch LG gram Notebook
A few short weeks after its unveiling at CES 2018, LG has announced availability for the first of its newest premium LG gram notebooks. The 15-inch LG gram model, which is designed as an ultra-portable product with a long-lasting battery, is available for purchase now in the U.S.
"LG continues to engineer the most easy-to-carry notebooks on the market today, while setting new industry standards for battery life and durability," Tim Alessi, head of product marketing at LG Electronics USA, said in a statement for the new gram notebook. "With the next generation LG gram, U.S. consumers will experience an innovative design that fits a 15.6-inch screen into a remarkably compact body."
The 15Z980 ships with Intel’s new 8th Gen Core i7 processor and SSD storage, LG said. LG touted the fact that the 15-inch gram essentially doubles up on storage space by offering users a second SSD drive slot, unlike “other compact notebooks” that achieve lower weight or smaller size by minimizing interior space. The SSD can be configured to include as much as 1 TB of storage and up to 16 GB DDR4 memory. Additionally, the LG gram notebook’s Full HD IPS display supports “a broad color gamut” that delivers “lifelike” picture quality, LG said.
The gram supports USB Type-C port connections and other “convenience-enhancing” features, and ships with Windows 10 Home.
The 15Z980 comes in three different models that range in price from $1,399.99 up to $1,999.99. All models come in a dark silver, and are available now.
