Incipio Buys Braven

Incipio Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of mobile device accessories, announced that it has bought privately held Braven, a mobile device accessories company specializing in wireless audio products. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"The acquisition of Braven will create a more diverse product offering for our customers and will allow us to pioneer groundbreaking solutions to support the increasingly connected mobile world," said Andy Fathollahi, founder and chief executive of Incipio. "Both brands are alike in that we have experienced continuous growth and success as a result of our drive to deliver revolutionary wireless products and services."
Braven's line of speakers includes the 650; the new 850, which can be daisy-chained to another 850 for stereo sound; and the BRV-1 waterproof unit.
Incipio makes protective accessories for mobile devices, including Apple, BlackBerry, Google, HTC, Kindle, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony.
Braven products will continue to be available through its existing. The company said new products will be released in the coming months.
