Microsoft Plans $99 Xbox Bundle

Microsoft is planning a big change to its Xbox business model, according to a report Wednesday by The Verge.

The company will soon announce a new Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle for $99, subsidized in part by a $15 per month subscription fee.

The fee will give customers access to Xbox Live Gold service. The bundle, according to the Verge, will be offered at Microsoft’s retail stores, although whether that is exclusive or not is unclear.
