Monster Rolls Out Celebs, Models and Plenty of New Gear

Head Monster Noel Lee invited hundreds of press to “Join the Revolution” during the company's CES press conference on Jan. 9.

The company is building on its “always lead, never follow” philosophy with a slew of new products announced in a festive atmosphere where musicians, rappers, designers and gorgeous headphone models took center stage.

 Leading off was a broad lineup of power solutions that deliver total power protection, as well as green power, clean power and now on-the-go power monitoring and control. 

Lee heralded the new Power App that takes the concept of on-the-go power monitoring to a new level, allowing users to manage the power consumption and settings of their home appliances from their Smartphone anywhere at anytime.

Created by People Power, an open source management cloud services and application provider, the Monster Power App provides information in a format that’s said to be easy for users to read, and allows users to track valuable power usage dollars by device over time.

 Monster's Power Control App, designed to work with the company’s new PRT family of PowerCenters, including the PRT 100M (SRP: $59.95), PRT 100MC (SRP: $69.95) and PRT 300MC (SRP: $119.95).

All three of these new PowerCenters work in conjunction with Monster’s Gateway GTW 100 ($59.95), enabling the wireless Power Control App. The all-in-one Monster PRT 300 MC Kit (SRP: $149.95) features both the PRT300MC and the GTW 100.

“We are providing the consumer with intelligent green power to help them save energy," Lee said. "The family of Monster Control products can communicate via the internet  and is a revolution in the power management area."

Also announced was Monster's new digital storage SD cards that are waterproof, shockproof,  and temperature resistant and the new Micro HD portable speaker and speakerphone with personality featuring voice command and control for $229.

But where the Monster team really pulled out all the stops was in the crazy growth category of headphones. The company's partnerships with celebrities, designers and sports figures is legendary, but this year Monster took it to an entirely new level with:
