Petra Industries announced Wednesday that it has promoted Tate Morgan to the position of president. Morgan, a 19-year veteran of the company, was previously vice president of sales, merchandising and marketing.
Morgan, in his new role, will oversee all of the distributor's management, financial and operational responsibilities, the company said.
“Tate has been heavily involved of all areas of Petra's business over the last 19 years and has been an integral part in Petra's growth and success,” Bill Stewart, CEO and Founder of Petra Industries, said in a statement. “Tate's extensive knowledge of the company as well as the CE industry as a whole combined with his proven leadership skills have earned him a high level of respect among all of his Petra peers and the industry alike, which will make for a very smooth transition in his new role as President.
"This promotion is well deserved for Tate and I’m excited for him to take the reins of the day-to-day business that will continue to drive Petra's success into the future. I’m proud of Petra’s track record over the past 27 years and plan to be as equally involved in the business with more focus on the strategic aspect of Petra’s growth and development.”
