Nintendo has once again stated that a successor to the super-popular Wii console is no where close to a reality.
According to an interview with Reuters, the company's American president, Reggie Fils-Aime, has reiterated that the company has many things it still wants to do with the Wii before it moves on to its next generation of consoles.
"We will consider the launch of new consoles when we have got great new entertaining ideas that can only be done with a new console," Fils-Aime told Reuters, stating that that day is a ways away.
He also said the company is "very optimistic" about the holiday season, despite economic difficulties.
